For our Client, an international real estate company, we are recruiting a Head of Project & Building Consultancy Department.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Define and execute the strategy and business plan for the department

 

KEY RESUT AREAS

Clients & Marketing

  • Identify and implement a plan to develop a client portfolio
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with new and existing clients at a senior level, actively developing business opportunities
  • Establish and build strong networks and profile in local and national markets
  • Strengthen company’s integrated portfolio by building links across business groups and global office network to generate new instructions, pool expertise and provide advice
  • Developing client relationship management strategy and ensuring department plans for targeting new clients and generating work from existing clients are achieved;
  • Manage relationships with other departments to provide a seamless service to the client
  • Create and implement plans for gathering and acting on client feedback

Profit & Finance

  • Achievement of agreed department fee targets: billing, revenue and profitability
  • Identify actions needed to achieve revenue and profit targets
  • Manage budgets and fee forecasting ensuring cost efficiency
  • Cooperation with finance department to establish the set-up and monitoring of systems that secure cash-flow and profitability, e.g. billing, debt recovery, costing, etc

Operations

  • Establish and maintain standards and procedures, communicate them to the team, ensure own and team’s work complies with firm procedures and guidelines (health & safety, quality, risk, professional code of conduct, etc.)
  • Identify, manage and mitigate risks by implementing plans to review output of quality and risk procedures

 

SKILLS & EXPERTISE

Qualifications

  • Bachelors’ degree in Construction & Engineering / Architecture

Skills & Knowledge

  • Proven business development experience gained in relevant business area
  • Consultative selling/ marketing skills
  • Key account/client management experience
  • Demonstrable success in handling senior client relationships and securing client loyalty
  • Strong market and local knowledge, e.g. economic conditions, competitor strategy and fee structure
  • Knowledge of local real estate market
  • Business management skills e.g. knowledge of basic accounting practices, business planning tools
  • In-depth knowledge of current legislation as relevant to role
  • Presentation and negotiation skills
  • Strong team and people management experience and coaching and leadership skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent command of written/verbal English
  • Strong IT skills (MS Office, MS Project, etc)

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in project management (in various sectors; Commercial, Hotels, Retail, Residential) including preferably minimum 5 years in similar position within a corporate environment.
  • Experience of leading a team to deliver client service
